My TV show, tentatively titled Extrahuman (older title, which really captures the mood, Tokusatsu Noir) has a Kamen Rider shoutout, who's obligatorily Japanese. Who connects with the main character due to their supreme hatred of Anime and Japanese pop culture. They'd rather BOTH listen to Yellow Magic Orchestra and P-Model than whatever faggy band is wearing ladies' clothes nowadays.Gomess wrote:I shall make a poll.onslaught86 wrote:Do we get pretty-boys Prime and Starscream making out? And incestuous twin Shockwave fanart? And Lugnut/Megs?
Hey, if Picard and Elrond is viable, that's easy.
And don't fret, MP (see? Just as catchy as AU!); my cartoon is just one big freakin' secret. It's not as bad as Lost, though, because they're ALL foreigners, not just the token ones. No Japanese though. I repress the weeaboo.

Re: Who would you like to see in Animated?
Well, well done for having an obligatory Japanese who isn't a cute widdle puppy or SUUPAH KOMIKKU BUKKU FAN NAMBAH WAN! OH, SUTAN RI-SAMA! SUGOOOIII! ...Can anyone guess if I like Heroes?
I *have* to avoid pretty much any references to Japanese culture in my cartoon, because if it ever DOES make it, critics will probably describe it as "Britainime" anyways... Goddammit. I like shading, so what??
I would like to see Dirk Manus in Animated. And he's like 30, and Marissa is 15, so Animated has to deal with creepy age different relationship problems!! Or take out Marissa, and just have Dirk. As an unusually handsome junkyard worker, who sells parts to Swindle. ...Hey, remember Swindle? What happened to him? And Soundwave? And--
Yeahhh, Animated probably shouldn't introduce more characters than it can actually make relevant to the story. =/

Soundwave's slowly rebuilding himself, probably. And Swindle's being parted out, apparently. Wow, that's kinda creepy, Detroit's finest mechanics are torturing Swindle by slow dismemberment...

Re: Who would you like to see in Animated?
Bah, Soundwave. They didn't even give him his guitar.
One thing I want to see LESS of in Animated is those vague, halfassed "O BUT THE BADDIE REALLY SURVIVED!" endings, like Sound and Fury's. 'Cos they don't really mean anything. It'd be more mysterious if we didn't know whether they were dead or not, or if they didn't even pretend they were gone. It's darned cheap writing, is what it is! Dramatic irony by numbers.
I hope Soundwave comes back semi-regularly, though, and develops SOME kind of relationship with Megatron, but I know that might be asking too much. They could turn him from independent machine despot to loyal underling, quite cleverly, and then there's loads of room for G1 references. "As you command, Megatron."

Yes, aaaabsolutely. And "It encourages kids to make up their own stories!" is no excuse. When I got G2 Sizzle, my not owning Megatron meant Sizzle had KILLED HIM.One thing I want to see LESS of in Animated is those vague, halfassed "O BUT THE BADDIE REALLY SURVIVED!" endings, like Sound and Fury's. Unless it became an awesome faux-dramatic running gag, with Soundwave 'dying' in every episode he's in.

I see where you're coming from here, but I'd like to point out that Heroes loves me as much as I love it. The supervirus in season two, that was gonna wipe out everything? Strain 138. Tell me they don't love me.Gomess wrote:Well, well done for having an obligatory Japanese who isn't a cute widdle puppy or SUUPAH KOMIKKU BUKKU FAN NAMBAH WAN! OH, SUTAN RI-SAMA! Oh, spoilers, I guess.
Heh, since I didn't have Megatron or Galvatron back in the G1 days, Razorclaw and Scourge kinda had a regular power struggle going. Well, what? I had two really cool characters that had some leadership experience.

Hero Megatron led my G2 decepticon army, which consisted of himself, the cyberjets, the combaticons, and the constructicons. Quite a team they were./nostalgia138 Scourge wrote:I see where you're coming from here, but I'd like to point out that Heroes loves me as much as I love it. It was G2 Sideswipe vs. Laser Rod Sizzle with occasional support from GoBot Firecracker and Micromaster Stakeout. I'd have Sizzle use his O-Ring waist power to spin around and slice Sideswipe with his sword. Until, one day, Sizzle powered up for the final attack, and exploded. Sniff.

Is it a bad time to say my first ever transformers were ultra Primal and Megatron from BW? I started with the leaders. >.>

Re: Who would you like to see in Animated?
Ooh, let's play the first TF game!
Mine was either Blue G2 Grimlock or Micromaster Blackjack. I'm not sure which was first, I just remember them being there from the begining of my memories. Which go back to about 1 and half to 2 years of age.
