86 and NZ quake (he is okay)

Post by Dominic »

I contact 86 this morning. He and his immediate family are okay, if a bit twitchy, after this morning's quake.

Word is, Masterpiece Magnus broke a table. Awesome. :P

Glad to hear he's ok. And here's hoping that the table did not also break MP Magnus.

Oh good, I was worried after reading the paper this morning (this quake was apparently far less friendly than the last one). Glad to hear he's okay.

Do wish that boy would come back around here sometime. Though I can hardly make demands of him right now.

Good to hear it. I want to hear how MP Magnus broke a table.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

It looks like the death toll has gone up a bit, and is likely to get into the 300s or so. This quake may not have been as powerful, but the locations may have been worse.

Word is, his work is going to be closed for a while. They gave everyone $1500 and offered them to work in another location or take a leave, I guess. He also doesn't know what time his university is going to be back up and running; him and the girl are looking at just calling this semester a wash and going back next one.

Good to know he's okay. I forgot he's form NZ until I read this thread.

Oddly enough, the one thing I -do- recall about him was .... cornflakes.
