My four year old insisted that we'd see Megatron again next episode. I told her "there isn't a next episode, this is the last one." "Oh." She knows how these things usually work!
Spoiler
If you liked the heavy metal rock type music in the 1986 TF Movie. Your gonna love this BH Movie,it's packed with cool music
I'm looking forward to watching it. Seeing Predaking fly off onto a restored Cybertron was a sequel hook if I've ever seen one too.

Predacons Rising: A nice mix of characters from all factions on a newly restored post-war Cybertron makes for something that feels similar to IDW's RID series. The undead army hearkens back to the beginning of Prime, and the fates of various characters are left nebulous enough that a sequel could easily be written. The ending feels a lot like a repeat of Beast Machines with Prime flying into the core of Cybertron in order to bring new life to the planet. No happy ending for Optimus Prime, I guess. :x Megatron's new outlook on life is a turn for the character that would be worth exploring in future, and Bumblebee has certainly moved front and center among the Prime group of Autobots. I enjoyed it, and I'd be all for more, though I doubt we'll see anything else from Prime.

Has it really been five years since I watched this show? Watched the first two this week and enjoyed them quite a bit. My daughter kept describing characters and scenes from later on, and I really don't remember them at all, so clearly it might be time for a rewatch of this series, especially if it's something that my kids and I can watch together. It still distracts me every time I think about the fact that this show has pretty much the same cast as Transformers Animated, except the motorcycle is Arcee instead of Prowl.

Dang, time FLIES. That was my last TF show, I didn't realize I'd been out of animation that long.

I'm glad you and your kids have been enjoying it together, I remember it seeming too violent for little ones at the time but I guess not.

They're 10 and 15 now, so not so young that watching Starscream stab Cliffjumper or zombie Cliffjumper is the problem that it was for my youngest.

And I think this is the last TF show I watched as well. I have not seen anything more recent.

I seem to recall enoying this show for the most part. There were a few characters that I found annoying but for the most part I think they did some interesting things with it. RID 2015 was mostly good from what I remember, but I quit watching after the second or third season.

We dropped Armada, for now anyway, and have been re-watching Prime, which has considerably higher quality storytelling and visuals. I'm done with season one, which has a lot of interesting standalone episodes and no real overall story arc, other than the "will Megatron recover?" plot that runs about half the season. Unicron comes out of nowhere, but they do a good job offering something different than the attack on Cybertron that we've seen before in various forms. My daughter has decided that she prefers Orion Pax to Optimus because he "has more personality". Between Cullen's performance and the animators choice of facial expressions, they do a nice job of depicting a younger character who is still recognizable as Optimus Prime. I've seen this series before, but it's been a number of years, so I did not remember a lot of the plot elements, though in broad strokes I remembered a good deal, so while I didn't quite get to enjoy the series as if it was the first time, I still got to enjoy some of the plot twists as they occurred. Season two I remember a bit more of as they hunt for the various Autobot relics, and I enjoyed that storyline quite a bit, so looking forward to rewatching that.

Starting season three, and I'm sure this is not a new observation, but Smokescreen is pretty much written as Hot Rod. His rash actions, his strong independent streak, the way Optimus is ready to give him the matrix as he's dying... I love the bit where he's trapped on Megatron's warship while it's high in the atmosphere and just jumps off rather than surrender, calling for a ground bridge on the way down. I really like Frank Welker's performance as Megatron on this show... it's the G1 voice with a different attitude. Nicely done.
