There were no original Super Robots in the Game Boy games. There were some made up for these comics, as I recall ("Artillery Man" or something?), if they're the comics I'm thinking of.
Wrong and wrong again! Mega Man V on the Game Boy consisted 'entirely' of new Robot Masters, all strangely named after planets rather than anything else. Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn and Terra. There were also an assortment of original end boss characters like Quint.

But these guys are actually Oil Man and Time Man from the Mega Man Powered Up (called Rockman Rockman in Japan) PSP remake, which added them to make the original game's six robot masters match the number of all subsequent games, eight. The fact that they're being used at all in this comic is awesome because for once they're actually being acknowledged.
Cool, thanks!

I had Mega Man V for Gameboy. That was a great game.

My friend, you have dipped your toe in deeper waters than you reckoned. Anyone who refers to the Stardroids as "Robot Masters" needs their head checked. Robot Masters / Super Robots are solely the domain of Dr Wily, thankyouverymuch.

Anyway, it must be a different comic to the one I was thinking of if it doesn't have made-up ones in it. Was it Dreamwave, or IDW, who had Artillery Man-or-whatever?

I remember that being my first Mega Man game. Wonder if I still have it actually. Be nice to play it again.

The Stardroids are Robot Masters created by Dr. Wily though. Their designs were just based on a robot Wily found called Sunstar.

And if the Robot Masters are solely Wily's work then technically there would be many Robot Masters that wouldn't count...

Ahh, you know what I mean. They're not Wily Numbers, so they're not Super Robots. Admittedly though, the Stardroids certainly could've been the bosses that Ursus missed from the Game Boy games, so the point is rather moot. And, y'know, pedantry.

...That said, Wily revived the Space Rulers / Stardroids. He didn't create them.
