It's back again, so of course I'm going back to see it on the big screen. Daddy-daughter date to see Transformers on the big screen... how can I say no?
I always spot details that I never noticed before when I'm able to watch this on the big screen, such as the Dinobots in the weapon construction factory during that first scene after the opening credits. There's just so much detail in some parts of this movie that it's hard to catch it all as it flies by. And it's fun to watch it with an audience who can quote some of the lines or who laughs at familiar character beats and scenes.
This time they had some stop motion skits using the SS86 figures before the movie began, and I noticed Gregg Berger and John Moschitta doing voices, and Stan Bush plays Jazz in one skit as he gets out of being killed in the movie by singing "You've got the Touch". The Sweeps argue with Scourge about whether Bombshell or Skywarp got turned into Cyclonus, and they wonder where that second Cyclonus went, because "we all saw him with our own eyes, and now he's nowhere to be found!" Good stuff.
