Re: "All Hail Megatron" and "Doubledealer"

We 'never' see anything that says Blurr would be involved with any of that, so why would he even know? The point is, Blurr's a dumbass and doesn't give a damn about anything but racing and getting high and/or drunk. We see Starscream approach Blurr at the bar, inviting him to join the Decepticons. ...

Re: "All Hail Megatron" and "Doubledealer"

But we don't know just what services the Autobots are providing, or how widespread they are at all. All we ever really see is the viewpoint from people who are either 'already in' the Autobots or are 'about to become' Autobots. For all we know, the Autobots operated primarily in Iacon and Blurr's r...

Re: Animated Series discussion thread (spoilers allowed)

Except up until those five minutes where the Decepticons were chasing them, the Allspark was lost somewhere unknown in the Universe. For all they knew, the Decepticons had it 'then,' too. If that had been the case, Cybertron would have been in Decepticon hands long ago. Remember, the Decepticons wa...

Re: "All Hail Megatron" and "Doubledealer"

Dude, you are way too optimistic about what people know and do not know. I don't think I am here. I just can't believe that even the ignorant celebrities with their private security wouldn't know (to SOME degree) who or what the police are. I mentioned it, but Sparky discussed it. I discussed it be...

Re: Animated Series discussion thread (spoilers allowed)

Again, Optimus and crew weren't the highest of priorities. For all we know, "enough time and resources" could be a week and a double-A battery as far as Ultra Magnus is concerned. I'd think having the Allspark onboard their ship with a Decepticon ship closing in on them would have bumped ...

Re: Animated Series discussion thread (spoilers allowed)

Noooooot so much. Read the first issue of The Arrival. The Elite Guard pronounce Prime and crew dead soon after the events of the pilot, and even hold a funeral for them (Sentinel gives the eulogy). The crew was so far down on the higher-ups' priority list that they saw fit to simply write them off...

Re: "All Hail Megatron" and "Doubledealer"

Good catch on the "Spotlight: Prime". But, I will say this much. For all of the times Furman has ignored pretty much anything he has not written, it is a nice change of pace to see something *Furman* has written be ignored. I wouldn't say that ignored is the right word here because it's m...

Re: Animated Series discussion thread (spoilers allowed)

I've got my point, though, where they're not exactly good soldiers in the first place, have no idea what the status of Cybertron is...and probably don't *care* because they're treated like shit on it anyway. The Elite Guard guys basically take a dump on them at every chance they get. I can see why ...

Re: Animated Series discussion thread (spoilers allowed)

What's your point? We know that these guys aren't the best of soldiers anyway, and they clearly don't hold that much respect for their superiors. My point is, the Autobots really didn't have a good reason to stay on Earth for season 1. And Optimus I would have to say is a good soldier. If not for g...

Re: Animated Series discussion thread (spoilers allowed)

It does make sense, though--their ship was royally screwed and they clearly had no method of contacting them. Plus, there's the whole thing with protecting Detroit and such--the humans make them feel far better about doing their jobs than the Autobots ever did, so why bother going back to that shit...
