Re: Crossovers- ideas?

I think GI Joe is and has always been the perfect line to crossover with TF, those are some of the coolest fantasy vehicles out there. But since that line already has mechs, I think this is one area that - unlike Marvel and SW - they need to insert the TF characters into because the Joe vehicles hav...

Re: SWTF MKI starfighter question

Which version are you talking about, the Ep 3 Eta JSF or the Ep 2 Delta JSF? "MK I" is not a proper designation, I would have thought that would have referred to the earlier JSF, but you mentioned Windu which almost certainly means the later version since there is no Ep 2 Windu version. I ...

Re: Hasbro took away SWTF minifigures!!!

I've officially asked Hasbro about this in my official Q&A duties, so we'll have an answer to why on Friday the 15th.

Re: My favorite Transformers - G1

First off, let me say that the show NEVER impacted my love for these figures, it was toys first and foremost for me. Pretty much everything Takara did had "awesome" on it, and everything Hasbro designed was shitty. Astrotrain - pretty much couldn't not like this guy, and the purple/black v...

Re: Sunstreaker & Sideswipe Question

It's really because Hasbro was using molds from different Diaclone years, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were both Diaclone but different years of the line meant to be different mechs, yet their alt modes were both based on the Lamborghini Countach. It's as cheesy... I mean "as simple" as that.

Re: Revisiting BEAST WARS

It just occured to me that Primal is clearly holding his swords backwards. They should definitely be going the opposite way. Depends on how one would want to use them. They seem to have an edge on both sides, so the way it's shown would be a "ripper" edge for doing heavy damage but slower...

Re: Armada Unicron

Unicron is the benchmark for planetformers. It's a damn fun toy with lots of nifty gimmicks, its transformation is cheesy but not sleazy, and it makes for a really imposing robot mode. Primus I passed on because I never found it for the price I wanted, and he wasn't as big. SWTF Death Star/Vader on ...

Re: Decline in detail? From extensive remolding to repaints

Smokescreen was a hard act to follow, and Sideswipe doesn't bring anywhere near as good an execution in bot mode - not detail, not transformation, not articulation. Not to say Sideswipe doesn't have some charm, but all the love was put into Smokey and then they had more line but not more love. IMO, ...

Re: August Hauls

Hauled a broken tooth out of my mouth on Friday. Doc thought initially we could salvage it, but x-rays showed the damage would make it more repair and post than root which he felt wasn't worth attempting. The extraction did not go smoothly, but it didn't hurt, just took a long time and then I blew t...
