Re: Armada Unicron

Well, you know, if the fight ends with both combatants dying, I'd call that a draw. :P

Re: Armada Unicron

Megatron wasn't in much better shape at the end of the fight. He had to be carried back to the shuttle to escape, and couldn't even fight back against Starscream when he threw him out the door. Unicron would have let him "proceed on his way to oblivion". So he 'won' only in the sense that ...

Feedback thread

Mods, feel free to alter this as you see fit, but I thought a general transaction feedback thread would be useful.

Good transaction: Dom sold me Alternators Mirage. It arrived a bit faster than he had predicted, and in excellent condition.

Re: September Hauls

Thanks to Dom, I'm one figure closer to completing my Alternators collection. Got Mirage in the mail today. It's the only mold I didn't have at least one of.

Re: September Hauls

I got Big Daddy and Fracture today myself. Might go back and pick up Grindcore. My local Wal-Mart had a display out in the center aisle and the figures were on sale for $7.77, which is why I snagged two figures instead of just one.

Re: I'm tired of silver faction insignias

I like the molded symbols quite a bit actually. They feel more integrated and less like an afterthought than tampo'ed insignias do. Of course, as you say, since every single mold is a potential repaint these days, the designers don't want to restrict themselves to one faction or the other.

Re: Alan Moore, say hello to Transformers

When it comes to the original continuity (cartoon, comic, whatever) I think Beast Wars brought some degree of mortality and the passage of time to the franchise. It's set 300 years in the future, features no G1 characters as regular cast members, and refers to the characters, events and places from ...

Re: Universe Review Thread

I get the impression from various reviews of Galvatron that it seems as if he was designed to be a larger size, but was produced as a deluxe. Your review adds to that impression. I'd be interested in hearing Hasbro address that, particularly since the size seems odd for the character as well.

Re: Universe Review Thread

Legends class Jazz and G2 Megatron. Now let me say that these things are beginning to get too expensive. $4.44 apiece at Wal-Mart for a figure that's about half the size of a basic/scout class. They aren't that much larger than the old mini-bots, though a bit more complicated. I guess the price of p...

Re: September Hauls

Not really a "haul", more of a slight tote, but I picked up Universe Legends Jazz and G2 Megatron at Wal-Mart this evening. $4.44 apiece for the tiny things, which is getting close to highway robbery for figures that small and simple. They do seem to be generally better likenesses of the c...
