Re: Comics are awesome.

I know when I went in to Borderland Comics to pick up AHM #16 on Wednesday that there were only three copies on the shelf. Two of the Spike cover, and one Bumblebee cover, which I bought. I'm assuming they ordered equal amounts of both, though I can't be sure of course. The back issue bins don't hav...

Re: All Hail Megatron Discussion thread

At one point I had a pull list at the comic shop I've recently begun shopping at again. I set it up when IDW got the Transformers license, and I picked up the various Transformers titles every month along with Green Lantern from DC. One of the reasons I quit collecting for awhile, apart from price a...

Re: All Hail Megatron Discussion thread

All Hail Megatron #16. I skimmed through it pretty quickly at the end of my lunch hour, so I may have some other thoughts or corrections after I'm able to sit down and read it thoroughly. Like the other coda issues, there are two stories. The first concerns Spike, who is laid-up in the hospital, in ...

Re: October Hauls

Got AHM #16. It's a decent read, and not as bad as the previews made it seem, though the Spike story is all setup.

Re: Titanium Review Thread!

The Fallen. - First off, for someone who doesn't want to tear up the packaging, this has to be the most annoying plastic bubble ever. The tank treads are in a seperate piece behind the main bubble! It took me ten minutes to cut through/untwist all the twisty ties and get all the Fallen's parts loose...

I had some titanium reviews that I'd typed up and posted here and there, so it seemed a good opportunity to collect them in one place.

Re: Titanium Review Thread!

Titanium Ultra Magnus - Looks great, apart from the shoulders being too far back - articulation is pretty good. The original had next to none, so anything would have been an improvement on that score. - NOT a Prime repaint. Woot! - the car carrier could be a bit better if they'd made the boots narro...

Re: Titanium Review Thread!

Some thoughts on Titanium BMac Cheetor: - This thing has some heft to it. I think this is the first beast-former since the G1 Predacons to incorporate metal, and it adds a lot to the figure. - Not quite show accurate. I think Supreme Cheetor still holds that claim, but Titanium Cheetor is reasonably...

Re: All Hail Megatron Discussion thread

I'm planning to buy issue #16 regardless of how uninteresting the preview looks. You can't judge a book by its cover, and you can't judge it by a four page preview either. The Spike story may turn out to be pretty interesting for all we know. So might Bumblebee. I liked the way he was written way ba...

Re: Happy Fourth of July.

"The Next Doctor", though? That one's magic. If you can find that on DVD, pick that one up for certain. Got it yesterday. Definately a fun story, and I like Jackson Lake quite a bit. Glad he survived to the end. It's much more fun than Planet of the Dead, though I liked them both. I get t...
