Re: Line completist blues

I bought Nemesis Prime from Case Fresh, an Australian hobby shop. I think it was an SDCC exclusive that ended up afterwards on Hasbro's website for ten seconds before selling out. I've always thought it was strange that the stock ended up in Australia of all places! I found Ravage and Rumble at Wal-...

Re: Your demands for ROTF

I want more robots and less people. Although I generally liked the human characters we got in the first movie, but they're not who I'm going to see. I'd like to see every Decepticon get at least two lines of character-revealing dialogue too. In English.

Re: Robot Heroes - general review and comments

This would be a good opportunity to get the Diagnostic Drone, I'd agree. I can see Savage/Noble working fairly well as a RH, and I also wonder if Hasbro will take the opportunity to create a Botanica figure... not that I want one, but we got our sole Dispensor figure out of this line. I wonder if th...

Re: Classics Review Thread

I just bought Sunstreaker yesterday, and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the figure. I don't think I've seen a figure deliberately designed with multiple transformation schemes, with the possible exception of Punch/Counterpunch (which I never actually owned, so I'm just guessing). Makes...

Re: Animated Review Thread

I generally agree with Dom about animated, at least as far as the look goes. It's a very spare, detail-light aesthetic with massive chins and odd proportions. Someone mentioned that it's like mapping a Batman TAS physique onto the Transformers, and that's not too far off. Some of the figures work de...

Re: Are the repaints lacking?

Some of the repaints don't interest me. Don't care about Blaster or Quickmix for example. I do like the looks of Dirge and Acid Storm, so I suppose I'll have to go on a case by case basis. The more expensive the repaint, the less interested I generally am. If I didn't like the original figure, I lik...

Re: Robot Heroes - general review and comments

I have to say, despite not really wanting Beast Wars RH, I'll be all over Beast Machines figures.

They HAVE to make Megabolt.

Robot Heroes - general review and comments

Time for the all-purpose Robot Heroes thread. I love these little guys, as long as they're G1 characters. For some reason the other lines (movie and Beast Wars) aren't as appealing to me. A packaging note - there are molded Autobot and Decepticon symbols on top of the bubble, but the 'Con symbol is ...
