Re: TV shows are awesome

She-Hulk has been the worst thing I've watched in ages, it's not a good MCU show, it's not a funny sitcom, it feels like someone wanted to write like a comic book with really broad pastiches letting the reader fill in the blanks between panels and didn't understand that TV is an entirely different ...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

The amount of dumb things that happened in this episode was so very high that it dragged it right back to the same rating I've been giving the other episodes, 6/10 (the third ep got 5/10). It's exhausting for me to even think about this show in the aftermath.

Re: Movies are awesome

Finally saw Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom , and while I can't say it was good, it definitely worked for me a lot better than Jurassic World, and it looked much better as well. The director, DOP, and editor worked together to make JWFK a lighter touch, not cynical, so while there was a lot of silly a...

Re: Transformers: Legacy

I really want to be interested in the new Menasor. I really do. But, I just can't. The whole appeal of a combiner is the idea of the parts making the whole. Motormaster can basically become Menasor by himself without the other Stunticons, so then what's the point? I also don't like the lack of a Sc...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

Cassian Andor's an interesting person at the beginning of Rogue One, he's a rebel spy who is willing to kill his own contacts to save the mission, he's very gray area for the good guys, and I think that has potential to tell new types of stories. I have no idea why there are so many of these pseudo-...

Re: Movies are awesome

DC takes way too long to release these movies. They need to adopt a model like Marvel Studios and put these out a couple a year, because they cast someone good as a character, and then it's years before a sequel is made, meaning the actors are going to age out of a part rather quickly in the big ga...

Re: Spring and Summer 2022 Hauls!!

SS86 Junkheap (Junkyard) - the remold of Wreck-Gar is possibly better than the original, his new sculpting has more detail, and his new paint is more fun. The ways he's worse is in his forearm panels blocking forearm-mounted shield wheels, the panels are movable but it's a pain to do in robot mode a...

Re: Movies are awesome

Sonic was an ok kids movie, I think the redesign was smart but the art wasn't really up to the level they were trying to convey, it felt too cartoony in its lack of detail. The story was fine, James Marsden really carries this film and works well with the cast, Jim Carrey was just doing his standard...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

I'm not feeling OWK at all so far, it's halfway between the PT and OT yet the titular character is entirely mired in the post-ROTS misery for a solid decade, it's diminished his abilities and left him broken. That'd be fine if this was 6 months after ROTS, but we know where he ends up in ANH and thi...

Re: Transformers: Legacy

Boy, that wreck n' rule set went over like a lead balloon, huh? The hammer was cardboard role play stuff. I ended up getting all 4 deluxes and 2 voyagers in wave 1, as well as 1 of the core: - Iguanus - fun little dude, good detailing and paint, great range of motion, motorcycle mode's a little sill...
