Re: Spotlight:

Spotlight: Revelation As far as I know, “Revelation” was originally slated to be the next six-part mini-series following “Devastation”, until falling sales forced IDW to rethink their plans for the Transformers comics. But loose story threads were hanging out there that had to be resolved, and so th...

Spotlight:

How about a dedicated Spotlight thread? Since I got a couple today, I'll start things off. Spotlight: Jazz Not perfect, but a strong "survive against the stronger opponents" type of story. Jazz rescues Tracks from certain death at the hands of the Predacons, and in the process shows his ca...

Re: Maximum Dinobots TPB

his casual use of comments about how proud he was of his latest work, despite it being middling at best. (His first two issues of "Armada" come to mind here. It was not a bad story, but it was nothing great or grand.) I remember that, and I remember thinking much the same thing. I think h...

Re: October Hauls

Went to the local Comicon today and dug around in the bargain bins. Came away with a pretty decent haul of Transformer comics that I'd missed, though the pickings were slim. Devastation #4 for $2, and AHM #12, Maximum Dinobots #4, Spotlight Jazz and Spotlight Cliffjumper, all for $1 each. Count the ...

Re: Maximum Dinobots TPB

At the end of the story, he takes responsibility for going awol with the rest of the Dynobot unit, and has seemingly begun to rethink the way he’s lived his life up to this point. Check out Grimlock's speech at that critical moment, the one about "getting by on bad attitude alone" and so ...

Re: TFV's Hasbro Q and A, round 7

I am going to vote to continue just because if we lose this, we ain't getting it back. Keeping the channel open is important. I agree. Nothing's gained by dropping out of the Q and A, and we have occasionally gotten some interesting information. And who knows, some good answers may still slip throu...

Maximum Dinobots TPB

Maximum Dinobots - Trade Paperback I started reading the Transformer comics by IDW when they first began publishing, and for various reasons I dropped out about the time that Devastation began. So it’s been enjoyable to go back and fill in the gaps and catch up on a year and a half of missed stories...

Re: Comics are awesome.

So far, Enterprise was the only one that I can recall that blatantly out and out contradicted continuity and one could even argue that the way it ended effectively explains any contradiction. Heh, that was the best way to end that series. Riker walks out of the holodeck and says "Computer, end...

Re: IDW comic sales

Well, I will say that I am a bit skeptical of numbers/statements from a publisher's house-organ forum. That said, it does raise the question of where/how to get credible numbers. I don't know that I'm skeptical of everything that's said. It's fairly easy to tell when a publisher is hyping their pro...

Re: TFV's Hasbro Q and A, round 7

I thought the answers were a bit more helpful than last time, though still not as informative as I'd have liked.
