Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

Episode 7 - Dreams and Madness Cool to see C-3PO turn up to pass on Leia's approval of the mission. But what's with the... Droidism? I mean, we've seen droids treated like second class citizens before in Star Wars, but Senator Xiono's dismissal of C-3PO, especially given his role in the Rebellion an...

Re: Transformers: Legacy

Some early images of Takara's Legacy United Silverbolt (along with MP Rhinox, ROTB Optimus Prime, and Studio Series Terrorcon Novakane) showed up online the other day. Which means, at some point we will be getting a Legacy Silverbolt figure. Really happy to see how they've improved upon the original...

Re: Movies are awesome

TMNT Mutant Mayhem It never really occurred to me that the Turtles have never actually acted like teenagers, until this movie. It was refreshing. Past movies have mentioned the Turtles longing to be a part of the human world, but this movie made it feel real because this version of the Turtles act ...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

The Great Mothers make more sense if you've seen the Clone Wars episodes with the Nightsisters on Dathomir (Darth Maul's home planet). The planet Thrawn ended up on is where the Nightsisters originally came from, if I understood the episode correctly. They're force users, but not like the Jedi. The...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

Episode 6 - Far, Far Away I really enjoyed this episode as well. I liked the difference in the hyper space effect in this episode, indicating the more powerful nature of intergalactic travel. The ring around the planet being composed of space whale bones was interesting and creepy up close. So if th...

Re: Transformers: Legacy

Bunch of new reveals today.

I'm very excited about the new Tigerhawk figure. As much as I like the original, it badly needed an update.

And from the Pulse con coverage, it looks like we'll be getting a new Magmatron at some point.

Re: Comics are Awesome III

A United Planets Green Lantern comes to arrest John for supposed unauthorized possession of a power ring, but John has internalized power now (must have happened during the Thorne run) and makes short work of this GL, who he berates for giving up so quickly, booting him from Earth. I haven't been f...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

I'm an episode behind at this point, but I really enjoyed episode 5 as well. It was good to see Anakin and Ahsoka together in live action. Interesting to see their relationship at different points in her lifetime. It felt like an effective way to establish that these two had a long history, even tho...

Re: Star Trek

Very Short Trek I'm not going to bother reviewing these, but I did want to comment on them... These are supposed to be funny little clips in The Animated Series style to celebrate TAS 50th anniversary. I'd have to say it fails miserably at that. I've watched the first two, and they're just terrible...
