Re: New 5 part comic: Sins of the Wreckers

I'm thinking it might be a two-part thing. For one, when you're a child, you get toys given to you or bought for you, or you're buying them/picking them out with sometimes limited information. So sometimes you get a toy of a nothing character--like Hubcap, or Pipes, or Swerve. But because you own th...

Re: December Hauls

I will say they do look like they have decent detail and paint, and if you're just going to put them on a shelf and display them that's fine. But I actually do stuff with my figures. I put them in environments and poses and have even made toyfare style cartoons with them. For something like that, 5...

Re: Universe2.0/Generations Review Thread

I think the only complaint I would have is that I think Hasbro missed an opportunity by not designing the various individual weapons to also combine This is a missed opportunity across the board for the line. The worst part is that some of the weapons do have extra holes or extra pegs...and then so...

Re: Fun Publications license to expire in 2016

I am figuring the deal will be finalized properly after Botcon next year. I would be worried if there are no 2017 announcements at the convention. How long is the Joe license for at this point? Considering it is basically half of the Joe line's output st this point, losing it would be a huge blow to...

Re: Star Wars Episode VII (allowing for spoilers)

Well, they won't be problems in future movies, then! I expect Kylo Ren to go to some dark places. Rian Johnson is pretty fucking sweet; Looper is not a movie devoid of problems but it IS awesome. Ren is going to go into the darkness but I actually expect him to come back out the other side. (The ong...

Re: December Hauls

I got SW Black 4" Kylo Ren and the Basic series TIE Pilot. Kylo Ten is fantastic; even at $12 he is everything you'd want from a modern, super articulated Star Wars figure. Where the mainline fails, this succeeds. Only complaint is that his head is moulded to his hood, which kinda sucks, but you jus...

Re: Star Wars Episode VII (allowing for spoilers)

Alright, here's the thing: It's Star Wars. It doesn't have a lot of plot. It doesn't need it. It's about feelings and emotions and big cool spaceship fights and lightsabers, and witty dialogue. That's what this movie has. It fucking delivers. Yes, the plot is mildly reminiscent off ANH. There's a dr...

Re: Hasbro movie universe

ROM is getting a new series with IDW, so that's never gonna be in the MCU. Yes, because Hasbro owns him now. Which is the travesty. (Plus, you say "never" right now, but a year and a half ago people said we would "never" see Spiderman in the MCU.) I realize the current arrangement means it's likely...

Re: Transformers: Redemption

They also, apparently, had a conflicting Dinobot origin...which is the obvious answer to Dom's question. There wasn't anything conflicting about the Dinobots origin... Like I explained above, in "Monstrosity" they had to take dino forms based on "cyber-morphic predators" on Cybertron, but they were...

Re: Hasbro movie universe

My guess is: Not well. EVERYONE wants a "cinematic universe" now. It's the new Hollywood buzzwords. The problem is, most of them don't realize that there's only ever been two successful "cinematic universes" (that are outright stated to be such); and that's Marvel and Kevin Smith. In both cases, the...
