Re: Star Trek

It wouldn't make sense to insert the actors from ENT into the late 24th century of Lower Decks, not a good return on the investment of getting those actors back - although they could riff on the holodeck finale tying into TNG, I suppose. When has KurtzTrek ever made a good return investment when do...

Re: Transformers Kingdom

Grimlock (repaint of Kingdom Dinobot with a new robot mode head) and Mirage has been revealed as an Amazon exclusive two pack. Honestly, really disappointed by this Grimlock. The new head is nice, but the paintjob is terrible. It's also a little odd they say Grimlock is "Beast Wars: Uprising-inspire...

Re: Movies are awesome

Mortal Kombat is a fighting game, slow storytelling and deep lore aren't its strong points. I'd have to disagree with that. The game play of the early games may not have had a focus on that (given cutscenes weren't really a thing in those days), but if you took the time to read all of the character...

Re: Transformers Kingdom

After a bit of a shipping delay... I got the Cheetor upgrade kit today. The gut gun is a little loose in the figure's hand, but not so loose that I think it's a problem. The tail whip fits snuggly with the gun barrel and in the hand of the figure, with the tail going up over over his shoulder. Since...

The Walmart Cheetor is a nice, dark blue, but all the paintwork on his beast form seems to suck on the ones I've seen, especially on the face.
Yeah, the blue is much better on that version, but has its own drawbacks.

Re: Transformers Kingdom

Cheetor - This was a figure I was going to skip from the Kingdom line. I get the changes they made, considering a cheetah is supposed to be slimmer than the original figure was (considering the original wasn't even meant to be a cheetah in the first place). But he really needs to have his gut or tai...

Re: Star Trek

They haven't said yet. Hrm... Lower Decks seems most likely to me. They like to making references to every part of Star Trek, often just as a gag regardless of if it makes sense to the story they're telling, and I dunno that they've done anything for Enterprise yet. Strange New Worlds might be anot...

Re: Movies are awesome

Compare '95 MK to '21 MK, one is all energy and bounce and rudeness, the other is slow, full of lore, but gory. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here... These are all elements in the games that makes MK what it is. Personally, I wouldn't exactly call either movie the best adaptation of the ga...

Re: Movies are awesome

Godzilla vs. Kong - maybe the stupidest big movie ever, this thing was hilariously dumb but also insultingly lazily-written. My fiancée asked who I thought would win before we watched this... I said These types of movies always end where their fight is interrupted by another threat they'd have to t...
