Re: Star Trek

I hope they get it right, because I would enjoy seeing some well-written Picard/Q interaction. I figured they would have Q appear old because Picard is old, since John DeLancie has aged like everyone else. I wonder how they'll explain Guinan looking older if Whoopi Goldberg does appear on the show.

Re: Retro Comics are Awesome

A browse through volume 9 confirms that yes, Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face again, which I of course knew would happen/had happened from our present day point of view, I just didn't know when.

Re: Retro Comics are Awesome

I guess that's the problem when they created a great villain, gave him a happy, redemptive ending, but still want to use that villain. They can't have it both ways forever. I think this is why most comics feel the need to reboot after a decade or so. Over on the Collected Editions boards, one of th...

Re: Spring 2021 Hauls!!

Arrived today: Golden Age Batman omnibus volume 9 . I can't believe they've kept this reprint series going this long, and I hope for more. This volume takes us up to August 1954. I guess it's the old story of "Batman sells" because Superman is still only at six volumes, and no further than his 10th ...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

Yeah, the Coruscant sisters are among my least-favorite SW characters of all time, they're horribly written and badly voice-acted. The weird thing about season 7 of TCW being a setup for this show is that the first arc with the Bad Batch and Echo was plotted out years ago, they showed a rough cut w...

Re: TV shows are awesome

Watched the two most recent episodes of Superman and Lois today and I'm caught up. They are including more Superman-centric plotlines, which is what I've been wanting to see. Plenty of good material for Lois as well, and even Sam Lane. I feel sorry for Jordan constantly being blindsided by yet anoth...

Re: TV shows are awesome

I'm not sure if I've given up on Superman & Lois , but I notice I have zero drive to watch more miserable teen drama and adults complaining about paying the bills, so it's probably gonna be summer filler for me which sucks. I hadn't noticed that the show was back, so I'm a few episodes behind, but ...
