Re: Fall 2022 Hauls!!

A year after it was originally supposed to be published, Golden Age Superman omnibus volume 7 has finally appeared. They've picked a thinner paper for this one, which annoys me while reading, but otherwise it's good to see another 700 page reprint volume that finally finishes up the 1940s and reach...

Transformers G1 volume 2 #3 June 2003 "War and Peace" Ch. 3 "Cold War" Writer - Brad Mick, Pencils - Pat Lee, Inks - Rob Armstrong That splash page with Shockwave facing off against Sharkticons is GREAT. It would tell a story even without the captions. And what follows is equally interesting as Sco...

Re: Transformers Rise of the Beasts

Teaser trailer looks good, though past experience tells us that means nothing when it comes to the quality of the movie, so we'll have to see. I didn't realize Peter Cullen was in this as Optimus Prime once again, so that was my favorite reveal from the trailer.

Re: Dreamwave G1 read-through

I like McDonough's writing. But, I wanted more from Sarracini. (I want not completely done with Furman 20 years ago. But, I was not happy with hoe DreamWave sidelined Sarracini so quickly on "Armada". Yeah, I think I enjoyed his writing better over in Armada than I did in G1. But then Furman came i...

At this point, I'd love to see them pick a direction and stick with it for any of the Green Lanterns...

Re: Comics are Awesome III

I'd rather see Jon de-aged back to being 10. They've made one bad choice after another for the character. Take him back to square one where he worked much better. Justice Society of America #1 - takes a very different direction than the 2000s series. It's a multi generational murder mystery as a tim...

Detective Comics #210 August 1954 The Brain that Ruled Gotham City! Script: ? Pencils: Dick Sprang Inks: Charles Paris It's the Brain of Morbius! Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

For my tastes, Andor's best when it's character drama, and this show has plenty of it. All of the action is driven by the drama which helps, and the action doesn't outstay its welcome as in this week's episode, it didn't fetishize action, it got to a scene and made a fantastic little meal out of it...
