Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

Episode 2 follows up on Cut, the deserter clone trooper from TCW's second season. I remember that episode pretty well, and it's good to see the character reappear, with Hunter noting that since he's stayed off the grid for years, he can help them figure out how to do the same. Of course there's a lo...

Re: Retro Comics are Awesome

The most interesting part of it for me is Batman's preparations for his possible death, though obviously the identity disc is there to drive the plot and will probably never appear again. Probably not, but I love the idea of it. I like it too. I realize these old 40s and 50s Batman stories are pret...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread

I really enjoyed the first Bad Batch episode. I guess I'll post a few spoilers. - Good to see Caleb Dune/Kanan Jarrus as a Padawan, and we get to witness his master killed and his escape during order 66 - clips of Palpatine speaking are taken direction from episode 3, on several occasions - a few ca...

Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews

Having read through 17 volumes of Transformers, I've been taking a break, as you can all probably tell since no reviews have been forthcoming for a few weeks. I still have three more volumes to go through, so I will get back to these at some point.

Detective Comics #184 June 1952 The Human Firefly! Script: Ed Herron Pencils: Dick Sprang Inks: Charles Paris Ho! Wait till they gaze upon the Firefly - genius of incredible lighting effects! I'll dazzle their infantile brains! The last time I read a story featuring the Firefly (which has been a wh...

Commissioner Gordon's Greatest Case! Script: David Vern Pencils: Dick Sprang Inks: Charles Paris I love the splash page for this story, featuring Commissioner Gordon shining a flashlight on a tiny Batman and Robin standing atop a file labeled "the case of Batman's identity." When an injured Batman ...

Re: Movies are awesome

Finally got around to watching Spider-Man: Far From Home over the weekend. I think they did a good job showing how young and inexperienced Peter Parker really is, and how difficult it would be for a teen to navigate a world of far more experienced and dominant personalities like Nick Fury, Tony Star...

Re: TV shows are awesome

Great ending, glad to see Sam still has his wings, even as Captain America. Glad to see John Walker paying attention and hopefully learning a few things. It's been a good series, and I would say there's plenty of room for a sequel. Sam and Bucky make a good team, and the actors seem to work well tog...
