Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews
I loved Stone's art. Never seemed right for "Transformers" (particularly G1) though. I always wanted see her on a Doctor Strange, Superman or Green Lantern series.

Re: Transformers Kingdom
I wish that Hasbro had made a decision with Scorponok. Either go for screen-accuracy, or natural-accuracy. The limb-count is fine for screen-accuracy. But, beast-mode face breaks that. I might pick up Tigatron, Pipes, Tracks and Rhinox. (Likely starting a new job-commute, which will take me past a T...

Giant Size Transformers '84
Giant Size Transformers '84: This is a ~100 page one-shot reprinting the "Transformers" #1 (Marvel), "Man of Iron" (one of the more reprinted comics from the original US/UK run) and "Transformers '84" #0. The coloring in "Man of Iron" depicts Thundercracker as the one that kills the Guardian. (The d...

Re: Transformers 2019 (IDW comic series) discussion
I normally prefer compilations. But, the confusion (since late 2019) has been enough to deter me. (I have little inclination to spend $50 per volume when I am not sure that IDW is going to release or distribute them consistently.) The pandemic has not helped. But, the problem existed before Covid. S...

issue 28
Bumblebee has multiple spoken lines in this issue. (After he killed Quake, it looked like Ruckley was going to write Bumblebee as a mute,) Not sure why Ruckley chose Reflec*, Refraktor as the point of view character. The breakdowns are not clear. Is Refraktor's conversation with Starscream a flashba...

Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews
arber seems to have the idea here that Optimus really takes what he sees as any betrayal of the peace by an Autobot far more personally than he does when a Decepticon does it. At least that's how I read it. But telling Slag (I refuse to call him Slug) to his face that he and the other Dinobots shou...

Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews
I am of two minds about "Punishment". The idea itself is sold, and Barber makes good use of Sandstorm's original character profile. Similarly, liquidating the Dinobots is the kind of idea that somebody should at least consider. But, it does not work for Optimus to be the guy who is openly discussing...

Re: Transformers Kingdom
The 25h Anniversary of "Beast Wars" should have been its own line.
Fossilizers never should have been released.

Re: Transformers Kingdom
Is anyone else looking at "Kingdoms" and thinking that the line is unfocused? It is partly a continuation of the last 2 years, with modern toys based on the G1 character models. It is partly a "Beast Wars" 25th Anniversary (which really should have been its own line). There are a few toys that look ...
