Re: Transformers: Legacy
Tarn is amazing as a figure and kinda dinky and a little gappy as a vehicle, but they both do it pretty comic-accurate and it's fantastic. Buy Tarn if you want him, he's the one to get. Breakdown is a frustrating reuse, it's a real shame that he's supposed to be the finish line for this amazing team...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread
Bad Batch season 2 - this feels like it's given up, there's one great episode and the titular Bad Batch don't show up at all for one second, every other episode is filler and not especially interesting filler.

Re: TV shows are awesome
Night Court 2023 - lame, shallow, toothless, and the sole good thing is John Larroquette who is flawless as ever, there's a reason he won 4 emmys for that character. So I showed my gal... Night Court 1984 - she laughed within 10 seconds and it's been consistent since. My mom's favorite genre is murd...

Legacy - Blitzwing, Clampdown, Core-class Optimus, Armada Starscream, BW Inferno Studio Series - Ironhide (not bad), Exo-suit Spike (silly but kinda fun) Masters of the Universe Origins - reissue Trap Jaw (yaaaay!), Man-e-faces (good, better than expected), and Orko (also better than expected but no...

Re: Transformers: Legacy
Core-class Optimus Prime - I got talked into this one, and it's not the win everyone conned me into thinking it was. He's not terrible but he's not great, the body has proportion issues with a tiny head and long torso; the back parts don't hold together well and are an awkward type of kibble. The f...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread
I have to agree. The show has earned just about every action sequence we see. I've finished episode 11, so only one more to go. The prison arc was very strong, and so were all the related plots. Everything on this show really works to create a real sense that danger is everywhere. Good to see Saw G...

Re: TV shows are awesome
Willow - imagine generic fantasy but on The CW and totally incompetent at organic storytelling, and to get there they had to retcon the broader wins in the film, and also Willow doesn't show up until the last minute. That's the first episode of this show and the last one I have bothered with. Wedne...

Re: Transformers: Legacy
Dead End is a mixed bag. Building off Drag Strip's engineering made for some interesting choices like the broad chest, but also some limitations like the alt mode rear end pulling itself apart most of the time. The deco in bot mode is, like Drag Strip, confined to the upper body so he comes off a b...

Re: Star Wars - General Discussion Thread
For my tastes, Andor's best when it's character drama, and this show has plenty of it. All of the action is driven by the drama which helps, and the action doesn't outstay its welcome as in this week's episode, it didn't fetishize action, it got to a scene and made a fantastic little meal out of it ...

Re: Fall 2022 Hauls!!
SS86 Sludge , again. Sludge has finally gotten a second run now that he's shipping alongside The Fallen and out from under the thumb of Starscream and chair, and this run has better tolerances on all the joints. Where my first one had a defective wrist and sloppy but not disastrous joints, this new...
